What's the impact of a coaching change on FSU football recruiting
Willie Taggart is out as Florida State's football coach. What does that news mean to the Seminoles' 2020 recruiting class? How could that news impact quarterback commitment Jeff Sims, and what impact would a Bob Stoops hire have on recruiting if he became FSU's next head football coach?
For the answers to these questions we asked Rivals.com National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell.
1. Even though FSU's current class is taking a hit with decommitments, do you believe firing Willie Taggart was necessary from a recruiting standpoint?
Yes, absolutely because it was clear things weren’t progressing in a positive manner and recruiting would have suffered in the long run with continued rumors of his demise. Rip the band aid off now, get ahead start on your coaching search and do the best to make this a solid transitional class with an eye towards 2021 and 2022.
