Florida State's fans aren't the only ones who despise noon or 12:30 p.m. kickoffs in September. Add FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher to the list -- at least for this year.

While speaking with Warchant.com and other reporters before his Spring Booster Tour stop in Tampa on Sunday night, Fisher said he was very unhappy with the Seminoles' 12:30 p.m. kickoff against Charleston Southern on Saturday, Sept. 10.

Fisher said it makes a difficult situation even worse for FSU's players, who will be squaring off against Ole Miss in Orlando the previous Monday night.

"I think it's a very big challenge," Fisher said. "I don't like that because you're coming off a Monday night game to a 12:30 game. I think it's ridiculous in college to ask kids to play on a Monday-Saturday or a Saturday-Thurday -- if they're truly worried about the kids. I think those [quick-turnaround] games are ridiculous.

"I think it's unfair to [the players]. It's not what's good for the body and everything else."

The game times for Charleston Southern and three other FSU games were released last week.

Fisher also is not thrilled about the physical demands required by Florida State's early season schedule. The Seminoles will open Sept. 5 against Ole Miss in Orlando, return home to face Charleston Southern five days later, and then travel to face Louisville the following Saturday.

The prospect of playing three games in less than two weeks, with two of those opponents (Ole Miss and Louisville) projected to be top-25 opponents, has Fisher planning changes to the Seminoles' preseason preparations.

"We've got three games in 12 days," Fisher said. "It will change how we practice and prepare. It will change how we prepare going into the first game ... I'll have to look at that whole procedure."
