Jack Allen, OL, 6-6, 265, Stuart, Fla. (Martin County)-has the size that FSU is looking for on its offensive line . . . earned first team class 4A all-state honors ... rated by Lindy's Recruiting Guide as one of the top potential players in the South . . . was picked to that magazine's 2nd team All-South list . enjoys weightlifting and has a 450 squat and 325 bench press . his family is originally from Syracuse where he grew up playing hockey . . . will play in the Florida-Georgia all-star game held in June plans to major in business. . . .

Terry Anthony, WR, 6-0,190, Daytona Beach, Fla. (Mainland)-rated as one of the top three wide receivers in the state . . . earned first team all-state honors as a senior when he played free safety, tight end and wide receiver . . . also was named to the all-Central Florida team and was named that list's Offensive Player of the Year . . . had 43 catches for 647 yards and 10 touchdowns . . . will play in the NorthSouth All-star game . . . 2nd team all-county and conference as a junior . . . has a 36-inch vertical jump . . . played basketball at Mainland with FSU basketball player George McCloud. . . .

LeRoy Butler, DB, 6-0,185, Jacksonville, Fla. (Lee)-could be the most honored player the Seminoles signed . . . named to the Bally and Adidas All-American teams . . . also named to Joe Terranova's Top 100 list and chosen to the four member Florida team on the All-South list . . . was all-state and a member of the Florida Super 24 as well as the Jacksonville Super 24 . . . played both defense and offense . . . had 139 tackles as a linebacker and also intercepted five passes . . . on the offensive side, he carried the ball 31 times for a 15.3 average, caught two passes for 78 yards and a TD and rushed for 388 yards on 18 carries as a wingback . . . has 4.4 speed . . . played against and covered Jacksonville Raines receiver Ronald Lewis, who also signed with FSU . . . plans to major in hotel and restaurant management . . . is projected to play the safety position at FSU. . . .

Dexter Carter, RB, 5-9, 164, Baxter, Ga. (Appling County)-class AAA all-state performer after rushing for 1,400 yards as a senior . . . rushed for 1,800 as a junior and a total of 4,050 in his career . . . one of only three players in his school's history to make the all-state team three times . . . also named to the Florida Times-Union Super 11 list . . . competes in track and has run the 100 yards in 9.8 and the 110 high hurdles in 14.0 . . . has long jumped 22 feet . . . it's his quickness that is his greatest asset . . . attended the Bobby Bowden Camp last summer and FSU was his choice of colleges since that time. . . .

Felton Cook, WR, 6-1, 170, Palmetto, Ga. (Palmetto)-named to the four member Georgia roster of the All-South team . . . also was honorable mention USA Today and made Joe Terranova's and The Sporting News' Top 100 lists . . . an all-state player and will play for Georgia in the annual Florida-Georgia all-star game this summer . . . as a senior he. totaled 36 catches for 780 yards and six TDs . . . those passes came from the arm of fellow FSU recruit Wes Hardin . . . Cook also ran two interceptions back for TDs and scored two more on returns . . . he also picked up 325 yards on 57 rushes . . as a junior Cook had 34 catches for 673 yards and eight TDs . . he caught 11 passes (289 yards) as a sophomore and 20 passes in 1982 as a freshman . . . he has played on two state championship teams . . . played for Thurston Taylor, a former FSU player, and was also a teammate of FSU junior Gaylon White . . . has been timed at 4.35 in the 40 . . . can dunk a basketball from a flat-foot start. . . .

Lawrence Dawsey, RB/WR, 6-2,195, Dothan, Ala. (Northview)-could end up playing anywhere for the Seminoles, as he played wide receiver, quarterback, runningback, defensive end and inside linebacker for his state championship team . . . was first team 6A all-state . . . Lindy's Recruiting Magazine labeled him as the top receiver in the state of Alabama . . . was one of 134 players named to the All-South team . . . rushed for 925 yards as a senior and also played wide receiver although he played with a broken arm after the 3rd game of the season . . . as a junior, led his team in rushing, passing and receiving. . . .

Magdi El Shahawy, OL, 6-1, 252, Sarasota, Fla. (Sarasota)-played both on the offensive and defensive lines at Sarasota but FSU coaches will probably try him out on the offense first . . . finished 3rd in the class 4A heavyweight weightlifting championships, bench pressing 370 pounds . . . considered to have excellent foot speed . . . has several nicknames, including "Madge" and "Fous", the latter one coming from his middle name of Malfouz . . . father is a cardiologist and of Egyptian descent while his mother is Yugoslavian. . . .

Corian Freeman, DB, 6-3, 200, Jacksonville, Fla. (Terry Parker)-made the first team all-city in Jacksonville and aIl-conference also . . . picked to the 2nd team of the all-state honorees . . . had 55 tackles and three interceptions in 1985 . . . a preseason Florida TimesUnion Super 11 choice . . . was the first recruit to commit to FSU . . . also runs on the track team and was one of the finest high hurdlers in the state . . . good student with above a 3.0 in high school. . . .

Ray Gibson, DB, 6-3, 185, Dothan, Ala. (Dothan)-is one of the least publicized of FSUs incoming freshman class . . . made all-area . . . reputed to be an excellent athlete with much quickness. . . .

Mike Goodman, OL, 6-4, 245, Miami, Fla. (Palmetto)-played both ways on the lines in high school . . . didn't make any post-season honors lists after injuring his knee during his senior year . . . plans to major in criminology. . . .

Stanley Hall, RB, 5-9, 218, Ocilla, Ga. (Irwin County)-earned class 2A all-state honors in Georgia after a senior year where he rushed for 1,598 yards . . . also chosen as the Tift Area Player of the Year . . . totaled 4,740 yards as a high schooler in three years . . . will represent the Georgia squad on the Florida-Georgia all-star game during the summer . . . only official visit was to FSU. . . .

Wes Hardin, QB, 6-3, 170, Palmetto, Ga. (Palmetto)-a three year starter, Hardin passed for 5,007 yards during his career . . . passed for 2,197 yards and 25 TDs as a senior, becoming the first QB in class A to throw for over 2,000 yards . . . as a sophomore, threw for 1,331 yards and 13 TDs as his school won the state championship . . . many of Hardin's passes were completed to fellow FSU freshman Felton Cook . . . his junior year he passed for 1,479 yards and 15 TDs . . . was allstate first team the last two years and Class A Offensive Player of the Year in 1985 . . . also punted for a 42-yard average . . . played basketball and averaged nearly 20 points as a point guard . . . has plenty of room to fill out his 6-3 frame . . . only quarterback signed in 1986 . . . played under FSU grad Thurston Taylor and with FSU junior tight end Gaylon White. . . .

Hayward Haynes, OL, 6-2, 295, Bar-tow, Fla. (Bartow)-a leader on the class 3A state champions . . . named to the Super 24 team in Florida as well as the Tampa Tribune's blue chip list . . . will play in the Florida-Georgia all-star game this summer . . . could contribute right away . . . high school coach lists him as his second best offensive lineman in 30 years of coaching . . . quick . . . former teammate of FSU redshirt freshman Odell Haggins. . . .

Reggie Johnson, TE, 6-2, 228, Pensacola, Fla. (Escambia)-one of three tight ends recruited to FSU in 1986 . . . Pensacola NewsJournal first team all-Northwest as a utility player . . . played every position on offense but quarterback . . . nickname is "Thunder" . . . reputed to have the necessary ingredients for a tight end - good hands and excellent blocking . . . one of 11 seniors from his high school who signed with colleges to play football . . . plans to major in athletic administration Lamar Williams, one of the 11, also signed with FSU. . . .

Joe Jordan, TE, 6-2, 245, Sarasota, Fla. (Riverview)-like FSU junior Pat Carter, Jordan is a tight end candidate from Riverview High School ... will be battling for the 4th tight end spot on the FSU travel roster . . . also a former teammate of FSU kicker Derek Schmidt . . . 3A all-state 2nd team . . . because Riverview ran the wishbone, Jordan had just five receptions for 45 yards and two TDs....

Bruce LaSane, WR, 6-3, 200, Wildwood, Fla. (Wildwood)-with his signing, FSU completed a sweep of the state's top wide receivers . . . a member of the Super 24 team that will play the state of Georgia in an all-star game this summer . . . named to the Bally All-American list and was honorable mention on the Florida squad of the All-South team . . . also made USA Today's honorable mention All-American list ... in addition to wide receiver, played defensive back in high school but was recruited as a wide receiver....

Ronald Lewis, WR, 6-1,170, Jacksonville, Fla. (Raines)-considered one of the top three wide receivers in the state . . . named first team class 4A all-state and 3rd team All-South . . . also a member of the Florida Times- Union Super I I ... caught 33 passes for 641 yards and six TDs . . . in final game of the season against Lee, Lewis caught 10 passes for 140 yards . . . Lee's head coach Corky Rogers proclaimed that Lewis was "the best I've ever seen" . . . played three games at quarterback when Parade All-American Vince Robinson was injured . . . rushed for 105 yards in one of those contests . may also play baseball at FSU after being drafted by the pros. . . .

Eric Luallen, OL, 6-4, 285, Tampa, Fla. (Jesuit)-a Super 24 performer after playing both the offensive and defensive lines . . . class 3A all-state . . . named to the Dallas Morning News' Top 95 list . . . quick feet . . . also a pitcher on his school's baseball team . . . plans to major in business with law school a possibility father owns a bakery. . . .

Rick McIntire, OLB, 6-1, 212, Sarasota, Fla. (Sarasota)-although he played tight end in high school, coaches will probably put him at one of the linebacker positions, most likely at outside linebacker . . . teammate of FSU incoming freshman Magdi El Shahawy at Sarasota . . . had 13 receptions and five TDs as a senior . . . benches 375 lbs. and has 4.65 speed in the 40 . . . also plays baseball. . . .

Anthony Moss, OLB, 6-3, 215, Miami, Fla. (Southridge)-2nd team all-county after playing tight end . . . FSU coaches project him as an outside linebacker . . . an outstanding track athlete also as he was his school's MVP as a junior in that sport and as a senior recorded a 57-6 throw in the shot put . . . brother Winston plays for the University of Miami. . . .

Chris Nicolas, ILB, 6-2, 220, Clearwater, Fla. (Clearwater)-played in only seven games as a senior since he was sidelined after suffering a cracked sternum in an automobile accident . . . still, he earned 2nd team class 5A all-state honors as well as first team all-Suncoast . . . will play in the Florida-Georgia all-star game . . . brother Scott played linebacker for the Miami Hurricanes and is now with the Cleveland Browns good student, with a GPA above 3.0. . . .

Bill Ragans, DB, 6-3, 180, Live Oak, Fla. (Suwannee County)-hails from just an hour east of Tallahassee . . . 2nd team all-state on the 3A level at strong safety . . . considered a hard-hitting safety somewhat in the mold of FSU's Stan Shiver . . . recruited by smaller schools, the Seminoles are counting him as a sleeper. . . .

Greg Rinehart, DL, 6-3, 305, Norristown, Pa. (Norristown)-an all-state pick as well as Montgomery County Defensive Player of the Year . . . had 130 tackles and seven quarterback sacks as a senior . . . also played on the offensive line . . . played in Pennsylvania Big 33 Classic . . . brothers Jeff and Jerome played for Arizona and had been signed by FSU coach Chuck Amato when he coached the Wildcats a teammate of former FSU running back Dwayne Denson . . . his high school coach notes that he is the best lineman he's ever coached.. ..

Dave Roberts, TE, 6-5, 222, Griffin, Ga. (Griffin)-will be a freshman candidate for the one remaining tight end slot on the travel squad , . . 2nd team All-South on the Emfinger list and 3rd team on Lindy's list . . . a member of the Macon Telegraph "Sweet 16 " team . . . named All-Georgia by the Greenville News and will play in the Georgia North-South all-star game . . . had 34 career receptions for 393 yards and five TDs . . . also played on high school varsity basketball and tennis teams . . . a good student, Roberts plans to major in international relations with a possibility of law school in the future. . . .

Scott Schilbrack, DT, 6-8, 250, Lauderhill, Fla. (Boyd Anderson)-the tallest player ever under Bowden at FSU . . . did not make any of the all-state lists but was a late selection to most school's recruiting lists . . . is strong (360 bench press) and runs a 5.140 yards . . . could be a sleeper for the Seminoles. . . .

Lamar Williams, DL, 6-2, 280, Pensacola, Fla. (Escambia)-led his team to the state championship in football two years in a row and joins teammate Reggie Johnson at FSU . . . a member of the Florida Super 24 team and a USA Today honorable mention All-American . . . has won the state heavyweight weightlifting championship the last two years . . . won this year with a 425 lb. bench press . . . also throws the shot put and discus . . . will certainly get a look at noseguard at FSU. . . .
