'Noles land four-star QB Hockman from Peach State
The Florida State Seminoles wanted to add one quarterback for the 2017 class and one that is an elite prospect. On Sunday, the 'Noles filled their need as Powder Springs (Ga.) four-star quarterback Bailey Hockman committed to FSU and head coach Jimbo Fisher after his second visit to FSU this spring. Hockman choose the 'Noles over Tennessee, Auburn and North Carolina.
Hockman apparently saw everything he needed to see on the recruiting front with visits to Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee and North Carolina. But on Sunday, he decided his heart was with Florida State, and he became the eighth commitment of the 2017 class.
That love for FSU showed in Hockman's last visit to Florida State where he raved about the feeling he has when on campus.
"I liked it a lot. I've liked all the schools I've been to, but man, this is probably one of my favorites," Hockman said. "So I'm probably going to try and get back down here. The system, situation I could walk into, everything makes me feel at home (at Florida State)."

This was Hockman's second visit of the spring. His main recruiter has been quarterbacks coach Randy Sanders, but head coach Jimbo Fisher has played a big role in his decision as well.
