A couple of former Florida State players are helping families in need this Thanksgiving. Eagles LB Nigel Bradham reached out to Grateful Plate to provide meals to families in Philadelphia while Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey teamed with the Boys & Girls Club of Jacksonville to provide meals in Jacksonville. 11/22 Entry @ 3 p.m. -- Warrick Dunn Gives Away Two Houses Today


Everyone loves Warrick Dunn. Everyone. And it's not hard to see why. Warrick Dunn was a phenomenal football player, one of the best to ever wear the garnet and gold. However, for as good as he was on the field, he's an even better person away from it.

By now most know Dunn's story and what led him to helping so many people and families by giving them homes. Today, he returned to Tallahassee to give away his 156th and 157th homes. One mother was so excited, she could barely get the door open. Watch below:

11/16 Entry @ 6:15 p.m. -- FSU President John Thrasher: "Jimbo's here forever"

Florida State president John Thrasher sat down with The Florida Times Union's Tia Mitchell to discuss current events with the university. During the discussion, Mitchell slipped in a question about the status of head coach Jimbo Fisher as it has been a hot topic in recent weeks.

Thasher responded, "Jimbo's here forever. I mean as long as he wants to be, he's good, he's good as gold. He's gonna be here."

11/14 Entry @ 8 a.m. -- Jalen Ramsey balled, so he got the call

As you all know, when you ball, you get the call from Deion Sanders. On Monday, Jaguars CBs Jalen Ramsey & A.J. Bouye got the call from the living legend after they helped defeat the Rams on Sunday.

Since being added to the secondary, the Jaguars defense has been one of the best in the league. Watch his call with Prime Time below:

11/9 Entry @ 5 p.m. -- Timmy Jernigan Signs Extension

Former Florida State defensive tackle has signed a contract extension with the Eagles according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Lake City, FL native agreed to a 4-year, $48 million deal with $26 million guaranteed. The extension moves Jernigan into the top 10 in pay for NFL defensive tackles.

Jernigan was drafted by the Ravens in the 2nd round of the 2014 NFL Draft and started all but one game last season. He signed with the Eagles in April of this year and has started each of their 9 nine games so far this season.

10/31 Entry @ 3:30 p.m. -- FSU Baseball Brings in Top 5 Class

D1Baseball released their top 25 college baseball recruiting classes today. The Noles come in at #5 on their list, the only non-SEC team in the top 5.

Half of the 14 newcomers are pitchers, including stars CJ Van Eyk, Shane Drohan and local product Austin Pollock.

Infielder Rafael Bournigal is the son of former the FSU shortstop from the 1987 College World Series team by the same name.

Shortstops Mike Salvatore and Cooper Swanson are other names to keep an eye on in the spring as they compete for starting roles.

10/26 Entry @ 7 a.m. -- Telvin Smith Gets Paid

Former Florida State linebacker Telvin Smith has received a 4-year extension with the Jacksonville Jaguars for $44M. After finally breaking $1M a year in 2017, the defensive leader for the Jags will now be averaging $11M per year.

So fare this season, Smith has accounted for 58 tackles, 1 sack, 2 interceptions and a touchdown.

10/24 Entry @ 7 a.m. -- Jameis Winston Launches Dream Forever Foundation

Former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is out to help the neediest children in the Tampa Bay area. The Bucs QB, inspired by other former Bucs like Derrick Brooks, held the first fundraiser of his Dream Forever Foundation called A Night to Achieve Dreams where silent and live auctions were held to raise funds for programs Winston has planned.

One planned program will be to create classrooms he calls "Dream Rooms" with the latest technology in electronics, robotics, 3D printers and more.

Winston also plans to start an annual toy drive called the "Jameis Jamboree" where live entertainment will be featured along with food trucks at One Buc Place. He is also planning to provide an intimate Christmas feast for twelve financially disadvantaged families over the holidays.

The folks over at the ACC Digital Network previewed tomorrow's matchup between the Seminoles and Cardinals with highlights and words from both head coaches. Watch it below:

90 minutes before kickoff, fans attending will have the opportunity to hear from FSU legend, Warrick Dunn at the Sod Cemetary at 10:30 am.

10/17 Entry @ 4 p.m. -- 25 Years Ago Today, the Fast-Break was Born

It was on this day in 1992 when head coach Bobby Bowden decided to make a change to his playbook to take better advantage of the skills possessed by his QB, Charlie Ward.

Prior to playing on the road in Atlanta against Georgia Tech, Ward had thrown 13 interceptions to only 10 touchdowns and a change needed to be made. After throwing 2 more interceptions against the Yellow Jackets and down 7-21 on the scoreboard in the 4th quarter, Bowden put Ward in the shotgun and the fast-break offense was born.

By air and on the ground, Ward accounted for 206 of the 207 yards on the final three drives to come from behind and defeat Georgia Tech late, 29-24.

Sticking to the new offense the following season, Ward was able to help lead the Noles to their first national championship and win the Heisman Trophy.

10/7 Entry @ 11:30 a.m. -- Jalen Ramsey Will Wear Special Cleats for Las Vegas Victims

Former Florida State CB Jalen Ramsey will always be remembered for sealing the victory against Hurricanes when he picked off a pass in the final minute in Miami.

Tomorrow, the star defender for the Jacksonville Jaguars will wear special custom cleats as he takes on the Pittsburgh Steelers in honor of the victims of the tragic shooting in Las Vegas. Following the game, he will auction off the cleats and donate that money to victims' fund.
